Depression is a mental disorder and a significant contributor to the global burden of diseases. It affects millions of people around the world. Depression is characterized by a depressed mood, loss of interest or pleasure, feelings of guilt, low self-worth, disturbed sleep, poor concentration, and low energy. It is a common illness but a serious one. It is more than just sadness as it causes pain for the sufferer as well as for those people who care about the sufferer.   • Bipolar disorder, also known as manic depression which is defined as a shift in moods from severe mania to mild mania. It is characterized by extreme irritability, distractibility, and restlessness.

Depression affects each person in a different way and it can affect anyone at any age. Most often, it is accompanied by anxiety disorders and anxiety increases the severity of the condition. As stated above, depression affects each person in a different way and therefore the symptoms of depression can also vary. But, most often, the symptoms are common. 1. Traveling acts as a stress buster

Traveling is considered to be a great way to release stress as it helps you forget and get away from stressful events and enjoy the trip. Interaction keeps a mind sharp. Meeting and talking to new people can act as a great way to reduce stress level. According to one of the surveys, couples who travel together can have healthier and happier relationships as compared to those couples who do not. And, it is known to very few that strong and healthy relationships with your loved ones can help you overcome depression.

Traveling together can help in reducing the differences between the couple and promotes happiness. This is because when couples travel together, they are more likely to communicate with each other in a better way.

Positivity plays the most important role in overcoming depression. Positive thinking is the best way to add goodness to any situation. Lack of positive thinking is the common symptom of depression as sadness overtakes the positivity of life.

Traveling promotes positivity. Positivity comes from happiness and most people tend to be happy when they travel. Traveling allows you to take things at you want. Positivity is a solution to most of problems. It might not treat the condition but it can definitely help you prevent the development of more severe symptoms.
