Each one of us hate Dark circles. We all wish for a clear glowing skin and whenever we experience dark circles, we often look up for ways to get rid of dark circles. There are various natural products that are effective in treating dark circles.

What are Dark Circles?

Dark circles refer to the conditions that present with the relative darkness of the infraorbital eyelids. This problem affects individuals with a wide range of age, both sexes and it worsens with an advancing age and altered subcutaneous fat distribution.

Causes of Dark circles

There are various possible causative factors of dark circles and some of them include, excessive pigmentation, shadowing due to skin laxity and tear trough, and translucent lower eyelid overlying the orbicularis oculi muscle. Excessive pigmentation is considered to be the most common cause of dark circles.

Although there are many cosmetic products that are available in the market for disguising the dark circles, natural products are the best as they disappear dark circles permanently. 1. Cucumber

Cucumber has long been associated with skin treatment and primarily this is due to its cooling effect on the skin. But aside from its effect on the skin, cucumber also have several beneficial effects to the eyes and its surrounding tissues. There are some pieces of evidence that state that cucumber is beneficial to treat various problems, including dark circles. Cucumber contains many properties, but the hydrating property of the cucumber work wonders to the skin. Dark circles are often associated with inflammation and cucumber contain vitamins that help in reducing inflammation. Cucumber contains vitamin K which helps in reducing the decoloration that causes dark circles.

How to use cucumber?

Cut chilled cucumber into slices and place the cucumber over each closed eyelids. Rest for five to ten minutes and remove the slices.

2. Potato

For a long time, the potato has been used in households. Although we have used potato, only a few of us are aware of the benefits of potato. Yes, a potato has some beneficial effects, primarily on the skin. Potato contains antioxidants which are compounds that protect the cells and tissues from the damaging effect. It is highly believed that potato can be used to treat dark circles as potato is known to contain brightening properties. Also, it helps in reducing the inflammation caused by dark circles. Potato contains various enzymes, vitamin C and starch that nourishes the skin around the skin.

How to use a potato?

Using a potato to get rid of the dark circles is very easy and it can be used in two ways. Firstly, you can peel a potato and cut it into slices and place the slices on the eyes for some time. The second way to use potato is to apply the potato juice on the dark circles. You can use the cotton balls.

3. Tomato

Tomatoes are considered to be one of the best remedies to remove dark circles. It contains many properties that are not only beneficial in treating dark circles are also beneficial for skin health. Blood circulation plays an important role in preventing dark circles and tomatoes contains various vitamins and nutrients that increase the flow of blood and prevents and treats dark circles. Also, it has bleaching properties that can reduce the dark circles to a great extent.

How to use tomato?

Cut a tomato into slices and squeeze all the juice from it. Now apply the juice on the dark circles. You can use the cotton balls.    

4. Cold Milk

Multiple studies have stated that cold milk can be used to get rid of dark circles and other skin problems. Cold milk can moisturizes the skin and at the same time, it helps in keeping the skin hydrated. Hydration plays a vital role in maintaining skin health.

How to use cold milk?

Take some cold milk and soak the cotton balls in the milk. Now squeeze all the extra milk from the cotton balls and apply it on the dark circles. Leave it for some time.
